Burnby Hall Gardens (The National Collection of Waterlillies) is only a five minute walk from the hotel. A short distance from the Feathers you can explore the Yorkshire Wolds. Historic York (with it’s magnificent Minster, superb museum’s and interesting ghost walks) also Castle Howard, Rievaulx Abbey, Eden Camp, Flamingo Land and Pickering (North York Moors Steam Railway) are only a short distance away. The famous Yorkshire coastline is within easy reach with Scarborough, Bridlington & Flamborough Head to mention a few delightful places to visit. Slightly further up the coast you can explore Whitby (with it’s majestic Abbey) one of the east coast’s most picturesque ports, not forgetting Robin Hood’s Bay (once a smuggling haven).
