Steeped in history, The Feathers Hotel is an old Posting and Market Inn dating back to Elizabethan times. The inn underwent extensive reconstruction in the early nineteenth century, whilst still retaining some of its original features and has benefited from refurbishment over the past couple of years under the present ownership.

Situated in a prime location within the town of Pocklington on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds and only a short journey from the historical city of York, The Feathers Hotel is perfectly situated for exploring much of the Yorkshire countryside.

A friendly welcome from both our locals and our hospitable staff will greet you when you arrive. After checking in to either our traditional rooms within the hotel itself or the chalets bordering the hotel, why not relax in our sizeable bar or lounge.

The recently built Restaurant & Function Room is open daily and offers a tantalising A la Carte & Table D'Hôte menu, created by our head chef. We endeavour to cater for all dietary requirements plus an interesting Vegetarian menu with locally sourced produce.

If you like looking for somewhere different for that important function, look no further... we are able to adapt our facilities for all occasions from bar snacks, family meals to private functions, weddings and conferences to a capacity of 100. We also hold a weekly pub quiz and regular discos.

Many secrets are held within the Feathers walls, including our friendly ghost, Charlotte. Featured on televisions Most Haunted we are classed as a haunted inn of England... But never fear, our residents have never complained of a sleepless night.
